Our story

A family table, built by Jerry Bass.

Jerry Bass and his family opened Old McDonald Fish Camp on March 17, 1977. What began as a small restaurant seating just 95 people has grown into a place for generations of CSRA families and friends to gather, now welcoming up to 250 guests.

Our country setting looks out over a beautiful pond, with goats, chickens, ducks, peacocks, guinea fowl, and fish for the children to see and feed. We’re known for channel catfish, warm Southern hospitality, and a meal that feels like an occasion—not just another night out.

“Great food and Southern hospitality is our secret recipe.”

Live animals · Family fun

A little petting-zoo fun with your fish camp visit.

Bring the kids to meet the live animals around our country setting. They can enjoy seeing and feeding the animals by the pond—one more reason dinner at the Fish Camp feels like an outing for the whole family.
